I got Bentley as a pup at 10 weeks old, I am a first time dog owner and he came with some puppy challenges I had no idea about, but big thanks to Mary, she has just been great through this whole experience and I am so grateful for her helping me with him.
The one on one support she has provided me has been fantastic, she has helped me with a range of issues from nutrition, behaviour problems, body language, teaching him commands, fine tuning techniques using positive reinforcement, being patient and consistent with my instructions.
Mary has been extremely supportive through this time and I cant thank her enough she is a natural with dogs.

Mary is a very good trainer of dogs and their owners. She has a good understanding of dog psychology and the ability to pass on to the owner what needs to be done. She was very confident and gentle with Maggie and Maggie responded.
Mary uses the positive reward training methods. Mary also provided written instructions which I found helpful. If you need help training your dog I highly recommend Mary.
Maggie and I are still a "works in progress" but we are progressing thanks to Mary.

I would recommend Mary as a professional Dog Trainer due to my past experiences with her. Mary understands that the dog cannot do it alone therefore trained me as well. This meant changing things inside and outside the home (which she was happy to help with). She explained that I would get as much progress as the work I put in. My 12 year dog Tiger developed an instant love for Mary. Her manner with him was exceptional .
Mary`s commitment to dog training goes `over & beyond'. She will research any queries and was always very prompt to reply anytime I had questions. After Mary`s help I now have the best trained dog in the neighbourhood which is a huge plus because I have numerous dog sitters. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks. Mary is certainly proof of that.

Clancy is our lovely rescue dog who we have had for about 4 months. John and I were keen to do all we could to try to prevent him from running off when off the lead. This is why we sought expert help of Mary from K9 Focus & Fun. In the 5 weeks of training as part of the Polite Pooch Program, Clancy has made significant progress.
Mary has given us a great range of training exercises that targeted his running off; specifically recall and getting him to focus on us. It has been great fun and I am not sure who enjoyed the training more! I feel that I now have a really sound grounding on which to build and have gone from feeling powerless to changing Clancy’s behaviour to being confident of success in retraining him.
Clancy sits beautifully on his inside bed, leaves doors and gates politely and is responsive to his marker and recall words. Mary has been knowledgeable, and skilfully trained not just Clancy but more so me, who I think was the biggest challenge.

My biggest struggle with Baxter was his barking and growling at other dogs. Attending classes with K9 Focus & Fun has addressed this problem and I now feel more confident to be able to manage Baxter's behaviour. He is much better with his recall and staying on his bed. His overall confidence has improved and is not so reactive to other dogs. I would highly recommend Mary at K9 Focus & Fun.

If it weren’t for Mary I doubt very much that our rescue dog Max would still be with us. Max was a highly strung, fiercely independent dog who’s saving grace was his incredibly good nature and although we knew he had potential we were genuinely worried he would end up back in rescue. We enrolled in Mary’s program and from the the very first lesson the change in Max was remarkable. Mary has taught me the skills to not only better Max’s behaviour but to form a mutual bond with my goofy boy and to bring out the best in him. We’ve had a lot of fun with great results and I can’t thank Mary enough for her help.

My biggest struggle with Groot was his attention span and jumping on people. After my program with K9 Focus & Fun Groot has stopped jumping, is more obedient and we enjoy play time together now without him getting too rough.
I feel like I now have the knowledge, confidence and strategies to continue my training with Groot at home.
I would definitely recommend Mary’s programs and training services to others.

A big thank you for being so helpful, straight forward and supportive at a time when we were at our wits end, when we were left with our sons recently acquired 3 yr old rescue dog, when work commitments lead him back to the city unable to take the dog.
Red, a beautiful, loving staffy x had some very basic training but no manners and struggled at the end of the lead. To the point were we wondered if we would ever get control.
With Mary's help we have learnt heaps of strategies, the importance of focus, to help Red cope in the real world.
Today, we still have plenty to work on but Red is excited to please, quick learner and now we are now really to cope in the real world.

Mary is a wonderfully inspiring trainer who is gifted in supporting not just the dogs to make better choices but perhaps even more importantly, the humans on the end of the lead. We did the Perfect Pooch Program which gave us both an understanding of how to work together at home on our property. Then our second time with Mary was all about loose lead walking. We can now come into town and Clover will focus on me; she can pass other people, scooters, children and other dogs with very little or no stress.
